ABOUT SHOPCALYPSE
Price history should make shopping calmer.
Shopcalypse is an independent Amazon price-tracking service for shoppers in the United States and Canada. Its job is simple: preserve comparable price observations and explain what today’s price means in context.
What we measure
We identify listings by ASIN and marketplace, record accepted comparable offers with a timestamp and currency, and calculate lows, highs, and recent averages from those stored observations. We do not treat a crossed-out reference price as proof of a bargain.
How we earn trust
Product pages disclose when history is incomplete, show the number of comparable observations behind a conclusion, identify when the product was last checked, and link to the methodology. Prices can change after a check, so every page asks shoppers to confirm the final offer with Amazon.
How the service is funded
Shopcalypse may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through affiliate links. Affiliate status does not change the recorded price, the deal thresholds, or whether a collection result is accepted.
